Aventis Systems® Equips IT Professionals with an Arsenal of Quick Preparation Tips for Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 End-of-Life

  • Consider consolidating aging systems through virtualization or hosting.

If a business cannot fully implement an upgrade plan before a software platform reaches EOL, Aventis Systems recommends taking the following measures to protect themselves and their organizations:

  • Businesses with network-connected systems past EOL should quickly place systems behind a network-based firewall device and lock down open ports from the Internet.
  • Confirm the EOL software has the most up-to-date security patch available.
  • Make preparations to move from the unsupported platform as soon as possible.
