Aventis Systems, Inc. Teams Up with Atlanta Humane Society
ATLANTA — June 30, 2017 — Aventis Systems, Inc., a leading provider of information technology hardware, software and services, is giving back to the community by donating $500 and assisting with day-to-day operations for the Atlanta Humane Society, a community that is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets.
Atlanta Humane Society (AHS) is a nonprofit and one of the oldest private charitable organizations in Atlanta, founded in 1873. The animal charity was originally chartered to protect women, children, and animals and remained a child protection and animal welfare society for 79 years. AHS is now a widely recognized pet adoption center, vet center, and educational program provider. AHS serves about 30,000 animals each year and places approximately 9,000 dogs and cats into forever homes.
"We had a fantastic day with the folks from Aventis Systems!" said Christine O'Shields, Development Manager at the Atlanta Humane Society. "The employees worked hard spreading mulch and helping with landscaping, washing dog pens, and doing several other important tasks. We are grateful for the support of the employees who participated and for the company as a whole. We hope you'll come back for another service day soon!"
Aventis Systems' decision to donate time and financial resources to the Atlanta Humane Society was driven by internal employees.
