Aventis Systems® Hosts Local Technical Students at Facility Tour
ATLANTA — November 17, 2015 — Aventis Systems, Inc., a leading provider of IT hardware, software and services, opened its doors to Kennesaw State University and Chattahoochee Technical College student members of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) on Saturday, November 14.
Students toured the company’s warehouse facility and competed against each other in a good-natured hardware rebuild contest. The experience provided students a one-of-a-kind glimpse into what life might look like post-graduation by first witnessing the 15,000 square-foot warehouse filled with a
massive inventory of servers, storage units, desktops, laptops, and components, and then racing against each other to swap components and boot up servers.

The warehouse tour is always such a great event, especially the hands-on ‘Doomsday’ competition,” stated Dawn Tatum, Lecturer of Information Technology and Faculty Advisor for AITP at Kennesaw State University. “It provides students with a great way to interact with the systems and learn in the process!”
“The server competition made a high pressure scenario a fun learning opportunity,” stated Diana Koch, senior student at Kennesaw State University studying Information Technology.
